Pedro Matos (b. 1989, Santarém) lives and works in Lisbon, Portugal. Pedro's background in contemporary art was expanded with his education at the Faculdade Nacional de Belas Artes de Lisboa in Lisbon, ArCo Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual in Lisbon and Central Saint Martins - University of the Arts in London. In parallel to his own practice, Matos has curated exhibitions, contributed as a guest editor in several publications and is a co-founder of Aujourd'hui - a Lisbon based independent editorial and curatorial platform that promotes and supports contemporary art practices. 

 

Solo exhibitions  include When We’re Gone, Pal Project, Paris, France (2020); Reaction/Diffusion, Galeria Kernel, Caceres, Spain (2018); At once familiar and completely alien, Eduardo Secci Contemporary, Florence (2017); Less Than Objects, Galeria Presençe, Oporto, (2016). In 2021, Pedro Matos will take part in WABI-SABI group exhibition at Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, London, UK.
