No pressure, but (duck potty)

I don’t have any memory of getting potty-trained. However, I went through it with my own kid a while ago. And at that time, it felt like an important thing to teach him, a real milestone. We (the parents) would talk proudly (or worriedly, or unsurely) to the people (mostly family) about how our little one is taking such a good, “grown-up” poop. Meanwhile, he’d be sitting and shitting in the middle of the living room on a potty that resembled a scary-looking duckling. Very soon after, once kids know the ways of using a toilet, not a word is mentioned anymore. We teach them it’s a private matter, and we don’t talk about that shit. Until you reach a certain age, and then it seems to be ok to talk about all your bodily fluids because you just don’t give a crap anymore.
