Henry Baldwin

Henry Baldwin (b. 2002) is an American painter based between London and Wyoming, whose work draws on an archive of furniture, objects and animals collected through drawing. His paintings transform and combine these forms through patterns, repetition and optical density, often blurring the line between elegance and absurdity. Inspired in part by fly tying and its illusion of life, Baldwin creates domestic worlds where familiar objects become disguised, strange and open to question.
