Henry Baldwin (b. 2002, USA) is a painter based in London. His work explores how pattern can carry a kind of psychological weight. He layers and contrasts patterns, forms and motifs in his mixed-media art until recognizable shapes lose their familiarity. This push and pull between patterns create a tension in Baldwin’s work, drawing the viewer into its captivating rhythms. Baldwin studied art at the University of California, Los Angeles, and is currently completing an MA in painting at the Royal College of Art, London.
