Hyojun Hyun (b. 1983 , Mungyeong, South Korea), received his BFA in Painting in 2009 from the Hong-Ik University, Seoul, followed by Master of Fine Arts from the Glasgow School of Art in 2012. Shortlisted for The 2013 Marmite Prize for Painting, Saatchi Gallery and Channel 4's New Sensations (2012) and The 2012 Griffin Art Prize.
Solo exhibitions include Anonymous Leftovers at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht, the culmination of a 2013-14 residency there.
Group exhibitions include The Bank of Scotland Awards, Bryce Hall, Edinburgh (2013), New British at Muse Gallery, London (2012), New Sensations at Victoria House, London (2012), and Don't Leave Me This Way at Kunstquartier Bethanien, Berlin (2012). Hyun currently lives and works in Glasgow and Rotterdam.
