Crispin Gurholt

Crispin Gurholt is a Norwegian artist educated at the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts and New York University. Along with earning a Master Certificate in Carpentry, he was apprenticed to Odd Nerdrum, Norway's most celebrated figurative painter. Gurholt's practice consists of photographing live installations, called 'live photos', aimed to capture the nexus of actions and ideas that exist suspended in a particular moment in time.

 

Solo exhibitions include Live Photo, Akershus Art Centre, Lillestrøm, Live Photo, Galleri K, Oslo, Viking Mythologies, Haugar Vestfold Art Museum, Tønsberg (all 2014), Munch by Others, Haugar Vestfold Art Museum, Tønsberg (2013) and REALITY, Kunstnerforbundet, Oslo (2012). He was also the sole representative of Norway at the 11th Havana Biennale in Havana, Cuba in 2012.
