Lived Through (part of my old leather chair)
During my student time, I bought all my furniture at secondhand shops. I found this amazing Chesterfield-looking armchair, slightly worn down, for €15. This pompous thing would be with me throughout my entire student life, witnessing many of the high and low points. Even other people remember me having it. I wasn’t careful with it, definitely adding more scratches and whatnot, but I still think back fondly of that old, weathered chair. It’s funny how you can connect certain objects with certain parts of your life, which is what this entire exhibition is about.
