Sango who was once the 4th Alaafin of Oyo, was a fierce king who could call lightening and thunder from the sky and could exhale fire thanks to the magic and powers given to by his grandfather. It’s said that Sango killed himself by hanging on a tree outside of oyo after a fight with 2 of his generals who challenged Sangos inability to curtail his powers which was increasingly destructive. Some say
he died while his followers say after his death he became the god of lightening,
thunder and justice.
