In the 90’s my dad moved to Portugal while my siblings and I stayed living in Holland with my mom. Him pursuing his freedom resulted in the 3 of us flying to Portugal pretty much every school holiday to spend time with him. Back then, there was little or no concern about traveling by plane. As far as I can remember, stratosphere-wise, there were only some ozone problems (and weirdly, only above Australia). Many of my classmates back then had never flown, but we were roaming the skies multiple times a year. It felt like a luxury, something special, and that’s what my dad kept telling us. But the reality was - not having to fly to see our dad would have been even more special.Exhibitions
