In the drawings titled The Garden, I have tried to inhabit the imaginary gardens of a Vienna that existed around the time of Siegmund Freud. I have never been to Vienna, so I wanted to construct a series of drawings with the help of old photo archives, several AI generators, and pencil on paper. Each drawing is a composite of several sources - both from historical archives and the products of AI generated interpretations of these archives. I chose elements of particular interest, and constructed images that I felt represented my imaginings. The result is not a Vienna that ever existed, but a slightly dystopian retelling of a time that could have been.Exhibitions
