Tae Kim (b. 1986) lives and works in Seoul, Korea. In 2010, Kim received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Oriental Painting from the Seoul National University where she later studied for her Master’s in the same discipline, graduating in 2013. In addition, in 2016 Kim graduated with a Master’s in painting from the Slade School of Fine Art, London.  Kim explores online human connection as a deeper relationship than that of the flesh to flesh.  Her art is inspired by the imaginations of players met in online battle games and their short mythic episodes. In this way, the resulting artworks investigate emotional experiences as well as mixed culture and history.
