Hector Castells Matutano

Hector Castells Matutano, born in Barcelona, is a visual artist, performer, and filmmaker. He earned his MA in Sculpture from the Royal College of Art, London, in 2012, and prior to this, he earned a BA in Biology from the UAB Universitat Autónoma, Barcelona, in 2000. Recent solo exhibitions include Plasvivor, Kristin Hjellegjerde Gallery, London (2014), Plastic Graffiti, The Film Gallery, Paris (2014), and Ripper Teeth in Action, Modern Art Oxford (2012), while group exhibitions include 20th Anniversary, The Film Gallery, Paris (2015), Memory of Color, Vingt, Paris (2014), Desire Danger Dada, Whitechapel Gallery, London (2014), and Camera Britannica, Centre Pompidou, Paris (2012). Castells Matutano has also performed at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, Whitechapel Gallery in London, Genesis Cinema in London (all 2014), and at the Universidad de Mexico in Mexico City (2011). Castells Matutano lives and works in Paris.
