Cross-dominance: The more I learn from my painting practice, the more I become passionate about the material of paint and somewhat reactionary to the burgeoning digital age of art. Therefore whenever mistakes and gravitational interference occurs, I aim to preserve these instances as much as possible to document the fraught human endeavour between body and material. The initial layer had the hands reversed: the thumbs and little fingers were the wrong way around, which I changed with a redrawn version of top of the previous mistakes, providing a sense of confusion which accentuates the protagonist’s turmoil.
