Christiane Pooley

Christiane Pooley (Chilean, b. 1983) has a BA in Fine Arts from the Universidad Católica, Santiago, CL and a Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Arts from the Chelsea College of Art, London, UK (2006). Pooley currently lives and works in Paris, France. In her paintings, Christiane Pooley combines memories with documentary materials, which results in works that hold a deep relation to Romanticism, combined with a contemporary sense for the politics of place, of mutable perspectives, simultaneities and dissonances.
